sun challenge

I started with a circle, used the lasso tool to make the shapes of the rays and filled with color. duplicated the layer, lowered the opacity and rotated it slightly. Added a gradient layer. I used the paint daubs filter (I think) I play so much I sometimes forget. Underneath the sun I added a blue layer and then a cloud filter with the blending mode changed to soft light.

Sun Challenge

This is my sun. First I made a new layer. Then used the gradient to make the yellow/orange/red. Made another layer. Used the lasso tool to make the shape. Inversed the layer and cleared it to leave the shape. I played around with the hue/saturation and added an outer glow. Another layer and I used the cloud filter, and there you have it. That was fun!

Ready or not, here it comes

For this challenge I want you to experiment with layers and blending modes.
Choose one picture
rotate it, flip it horizontal or vertical
then try on different blending modes to see what you come up with
You can even repeat the process a couple times if you want. Just have fun.

Lets get this show on the road.

I suppose it's not going to be a very big show just yet, but here's to fun times and lasting friendship through the love of editing.
Lets start this off with a little challenge, shall we.
Since this is a new blog and I'm hoping we'll be adding authors as well as followers the theme of this challenge is "Follow me"

As you can see it's pretty bare in here right now. This blog was created because myself and I'm sure others are tired of dealing with forums that are filled with drama.
